FOUNDATION LICENCE TRAINING

The Horndean & District Amateur Radio Club (HDARC) is pleased to announce that it is now able to offer training in preparation for the Amateur Radio Foundation Licence examination. The courses are run over a single weekend culminating with the exam at the end of the weekend.

The course and examinations are held at the club's meeting room at either: Lovedean Village Hall, Lovedean Lane, Lovedean. PO8 9SF or at Deverall Hall, London Road, Purbrook.

The course is run by friendly, experienced radio amateurs who aim to create a supportive, relaxed atmosphere in which to study. Additionally, informal tutorial sessions are regularly held during HDARC meetings which take place at 19:30 in Lovedean Village Hall on the first and fourth Tuesday of every month.

There has never been a better time to become a radio amateur, so why not come along to one of the club meetings, meet the tutors, and discover how amateur radio can provide a lifetime of fascination, friendship and enjoyment.

The Horndean & District ARC regret that the Foundation licence course which was due to take place in Aug/Sept 2010 has been cancelled due to lack of students. Watch this space for the next one. We are still running an Intermediate licence course during July/August, with the exam on September 5th.
